Ingredients

1. Coldwater or milk - ¼ cup

2. Unflavored gelatin powder - 2 ¼ teaspoons

3. Heavy cream - 2 cups

4. Granulated sugar - ¼ cup

5. Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon

Directions

1. Take a small bowl with either ¼ cup of cold water or milk. Sprinkle gelatin powder onto the cold water or milk. Do not put heaps of gelatin powder directly as the crystals of gelatin will not dissolve properly.

2. Let the gelatin mixture sit for about 5 to 10 minutes.

3. Over medium heat, heat heavy cream (you can use any tetra pack cream like Nestle Milk Pak, Olpers or Whippy whip cream), vanilla, and sugar in a medium pan. Boil this mixture until the sugar dissolves properly.

4. Remove the pan from heat and slowly stir in the gelatin mixture.

5. To make this dessert smooth, whisk this mixture so that the gelatin is dissolved properly. If it is partially dissolved, then heat again on low heat and stir. Do not boil this cream mixture.

6. Take four individual glasses or dishes and pour this cooked cream in and refrigerate.

7. Serve it with whatever toppings you like. To make a strawberry sauce for the topping blend, strawberry, and powdered sugar until smooth. Top your Panna cotta with strawberry sauce or jam (of your choice) or with available seasonal fruits. It can also be served with caramel.

Your Panna cotta is fully ready to be served. This smooth and creamy dessert looks heavy but it is a perfectly light chilled dessert that can be served after a heavy meal.
